Last school holidays my eldest son did a Lego Workshop at the Lego Education Centre in South Brisbane and it was great. He got to build huge lego masterpieces and challenge his lego building abilities! I have just discovered that the Lego Education Centre does not only run school holiday programs but also has great things happening all year around.

It’s now law for all children up to 7 years of age to be correctly restrained according to their size and age. As of 11 March 2010, new child restraint laws will come into effect as a part of the Queensland Governments commitment to improving road safety and to bring the state into line with the national road rules.

Here are a few tips to help you when visiting the shops with your baby and/or kids:
1. Write a shopping list or a places to go list (eg bank, shoe shop, morning tea shop, ride) and let your child know what you are looking for or what is next to do. Even if they are babies, involve them. If they are older, get them to help you find certain items or shops and get them to help you to remember what you need. They will love “helping” you.
