We have discovered a fantastic new website that has the answer to the frequently asked question ‘what’s for lunch?’. Mum’s Lunch is a new initiative that helps you to provide delicious and nutritious lunch boxes for your family.

They offer interesting meal plans and delicious recipes featuring fun, yet nutritious suggestions kids will no longer be swapping their lunch for someone else’s or throwing it out.

With morning and afternoon snacks also included and a balance of fruit, vegetables and dairy in each meal plan parents can be assured kids are receiving the right nutrients to get them through a school day.

For this giveaway it is one entry per person, it is a game of skill and a winner will be chosen based on their creativity and originality of their answer. Please see the Terms and Conditions below for all the information.

COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. The Promoter is Haggus and Stookles, www.haggusandstookles.com.au with the prize supplied by Mum’s Lunch and Haggus and Stookles
2. Submission for this prize constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. All entry instructions and competition information published by the Promoter form part of these conditions. Entry is via Internet only.
3. Entry to the competition is open to all residents of Australia over the age of 18.
4. The competition commences on Wednesday 7th December 2011 from 10:00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and will continue until Wednesday 14th December 2011 10:00 pm AEST.
5. To be eligible for the prize, persons must submit a response to the question via public post on www.kidstravelblog.com.au  telling us “In 30 words or less, what is your favourite food you and/or your kids love having in your lunch box? The one (1) person who in the Judge’s opinion submit the most original and creative answer, 30 words or less, will be declared the winner. Mums Lunch will shortlist all entries and judge the winner. The winner will be the entry deemed most creative and practical by the judges. The Judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. This is a competition of skill and chance plays no part in determining the outcome. Entries must be the Entrant’s own work and must not infringe any rights of third parties.
6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or for any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. The Promoter has no control over telephone communications, networks or lines and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, whether due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) any costs incurred.
7. One prize winner will be awarded with an annual subscription to Mum’s Lunch valued at $39.90 and a Fridge to Go Medium Lunch Box, valued at $32.95 + cost for postage. The total prize value for this competition is AU$72.85 + cost for postage.
8. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. The Prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in Prize value.
9. To claim the prize, the winner must reply to the winner notification and accept the prize within 14 days of the winner’s notification, as well as indicate their preferred address for the prize to be sent. If the winner does not respond within 14 days, they will forfeit the prize.
10. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage to or delay in transit of prizes.
Judging
11. Judging will take place at Mums Lunch on December 15th 2011 when winners will be chosen. The winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the judging date. Name of the winner will be published on Haggus and Stookles and Kids Travel Blog websites at the url www.haggusandstookles.com.au and www.kidstravelblog.com.au.
12. Prizes will be posted to the winners at the address nominated by them via email correspondence with the promoter. The personal details provided will not be used for any other purposes than sending the prize and will not be supplied to any other 3rd party suppliers.

    My little lady loves home made quesadillas! Really easy and super healthy! A wholemeal pita, refried beans ( it is almost like a paste), grated cheese and avocado. Pop in on the sandwich press, cut into triangles and voila!! She is only fourteen months but inhales them! Her daddy loves them too :)

    Popcorn! It’s healthy, tasty and SUPER SUPER cheap when you have a popcorn machine. The kids love eating it and watching it pop.
    Added bonus: it doesn’t need to be kept cold.

    Frozen mango cheeks and frozen berries defrost just enough to be delicious cool morning tea. Tiger sandwiches (vegemite with cheese strips) are a lunch favorite!

    Milk in a thermos flask! Hot drink in winter and ice cold in summer. And every now and then we jazz it up with a teaspoon of Nesquick powder.

    Homemade sausage rolls full of grated veges and a tiny hint of honey to make them a little sweeter. The kids seem to eat it so thats all that matters :)

    My favourite thing to have in my lunchbox when I go to work is the Caramel Slice that my mum makes she got the recipe off my teacher when I was in grade 2 and has been making it ever since.

    Our favourite lunchbox food are hard boiled eggs made in egg moulds. My girls take tigers, pandas and rabbits!! The other children want them too! Yay for healthy protein snacks!

    My son loves sandwichmen. Make any sandwich to your liking then cut it out using a gingerbread man cutter and voula, it’s a sandwichman! No crusts & no leftovers guaranteed :)

    My Brianna started prep this year and love ham,lettuce, carrot and cheese mini wraps. Home made cookies and two bits of fruit. All packed nicely into her fridge to go back which has had a rough year! We are in need of a new one.

    Homemade mini frittatas! They’re so easy to make, bite-sized and super tasty – AND you can freeze any extras for later. I’m happy to share the recipe :)

    My kids (and my husband) love cold, home made, left over Pizza! Spread an Wholemeal English muffin with pizza sauce, top with their favorite toppings serve with a fresh salad for a quick supper. Make extra to pack in their lunch boxes the next day. Too easy!

    Home-made scrolls, we mix it up with different flavours, cheese & vegemite, pizza, sweet chilli & cheese, sun-dried tomato & pesto, cheese & herb to name a few.

    Vegetable and prawn rice paper rolls!. My just-turned 3 year old loves these. And so easy to add a little chilli to the sauce for a yummy-mummy version!

    Leftover rediscovered! I make a potato salad out of leftover potoatoes and sweetpotatoes, with boiled eggs, bacon pieces and mayo. Always goes down a treat. And lots of fruit pieces!

    My kids love making sandwich sushi. They help me flatten a piece of bread with a rolling pin, and then they get to choose two toppings (shaved ham and avocado are their favourites). We then roll it up and I cut it in half. They look great, are healthy and best of all the kids love them!!
